Gissy Cares Inc. is a non-profit organization dedicated to creating a positive impact in the North Shore Staten Island community. Our efforts involves hosting various initiatives to support children and women facing tough times. These initiatives include back to school giveaways, providing infant supplies, mentorship programs, and parenting services. Our key efforts is focused on assisting women and children who are less fortunate, with the ultimate goal of promoting a sense of compassion and solidarity throughout our local community.

Growing our community daily

At Gissy Cares Inc., we are committed to our community on Staten Island through our various initiatives. Each year, we conduct back-to-school giveaways to support students in need, ensuring they are equipped for a successful academic year. Additionally, we offer mentorship programs such as resume building, & parenting assistance. These efforts reflect our dedication to making a positive impact and fostering a supportive environment for all community members.

2024 Year Founded

Gisselle Lendor, our founder, was a new business owner on the North Shore of Staten Island when she realized she could do much more for the community. In 2024, Gisselle opened Gissy Cares Inc. to serve women and children in her local area. Within the first six months, we have served over 150 families, providing donations in the form of food, school supplies, and clothing as well as offering special services such as resume building, parenting classes, and much more.

We donate needed children’s supplies and offer educational workshops through a network of shelters, social service agencies and community organizations serving NYC families living in tough times.
